It will be interesting to see how Twitter is in 6 months or so. There's the inevitable spike in take-up because it's new. Are we still in the spike? or are we in the future already and it's now part of the milieu?

Clearly there are millions who want to be heard in some way - from Blogs, to Facebook profiles to micro-blogging with Twitter.

Mobile apps are making it even more accessible - I often tweet from a coffee shop or restaurant. I check my Facebook page and would probably update MySpace more often if their app stored my details like the other apps do.

Also interesting are the satellite businesses starting up that work with Twitter in some way. For example, Twitpic attaches images to tweets. Then there are marketing tools / offers that "guarantee" to get you loads of followers in a short time.

As someone once said ... stay tuned :-)

I really like twitter, but I have to say that it seems sorta like another fad. ICQ, then MSN, Blogging, Myspace, then Facebook, now Twitter. It's interesting.
